Does India need a transit visa for Rwanda?
Yes. All visitors and those passing through Rwanda must have a valid passport and visa. Indian citizens can enter Rwanda on a transit e-visa and stay there for a maximum of 03 days. Indian citizens are allowed to pause during this period and rest before boarding the following flight. Obtaining a transit e-visa is a relatively simple process. Indian residents only need to complete the online application form for an e-visa. It will only take a few business days to process and issue an e-visa if travelers have all the required documentation ready. A few documents are required from Indian citizens traveling to Rwanda:
- Your India passport must be valid starting on your arrival in Rwanda for at least 06 months.
- A recently taken digital photo is required from applicants; the image must clearly show the applicant's face and background.
- A digital copy of their India passport's biographical page.
- A valid email address for notifications and e-visa approval
The e-visa result will be sent to the email address you provided when completing the form. Before traveling to the airport, don't forget to print it out with the flight details. No Indian citizen will be permitted to stay or enter Rwanda if they do not have a transit e-visa.
